Visual Harmonics is the site of myself, Nick Wiggill, a dabbler in the arts of game development, particularly (at the moment) in Flash. I’ve a keen interest in various web-related (read: general purpose) technologies such as Flash and PHP both of which I use in my work as a web developer, as well as Java which I’m relearning at the moment. I hail from a technical programming background, mainly C++ and and DirectDraw, so these languages come fairly naturally, and I enjoy using them a great deal for the rapidity with which a developer can produce a working application in them as compared with C and C++. In the case of Flash in particular, “working” means including display stuff, sound, and data sources into the bargain with minimal effort — which is great for game dev.
